  1. Thank you. Hopefully I've given some hope to other applicants with lower GPAs. I remember last year, scanning all the "accepted" posts, wondering if I'd even get an interview invite, and it was definitely heartening to see a few <3.5s. Thanks to everyone who declined their offers; I couldn't have done it without you.
  2. Woohoo, I finally get to write one of these! IP GPA: ~3.4 (oh yeahhh) Finishing up an M.Sc. MCAT: BS10, VR11, PS10 (writing O ) ECs: typical volunteering, tons of work and research experience, some publications I thought the interview went well for the most part, except for the essay bit...
  3. Yeah, I remember one class where a girl walked up to the front of the lecture theater and put a recorder right in front of the prof and then went back to her seat. The prof was like .
  4. I think Mac only looks at VR(?), so that could be an option. I know U of C looks at overall score (although I wonder if they place more importance on VR and BS, since they use those when deciding whether OOPs get file review). But yeah, rewrite and try to bring those sciences up to double digits. I doubt your VR or WS could go down much, so rewriting's not too risky (though it is expensive and generally sucky ). I'm also a grad student facing a rewrite (unless I miraculously get good news on Friday), so I feel your pain.
  5. That's right, pretty much any degree is fine. Just check out the prereqs for the school(s) you're interested in and make sure you take those. I don't think calculus is required, but I'm not positive for all schools. Also, make sure you have the prereqs for the prereqs! (for example, while your med school of interest may not require math, it may require a chem course that requires math)
