  1. TBH dental corp throws some pretty good parties during ASM each year
  2. And what happens to these retained earnings? Can you do anything with them? Like what's the main reason for this other than the 15% tax rate?
  3. Jr bedroom in a condo at Bay Street and College Street for rent from Sept 1, 2019 – Aug 31, 2020 (earlier move-in possible), fully furnished, utilities +$25 flat-rate, internet +$27, sharing kitchen and washroom with one female roommate, female only, quiet young professional or studious student preferred, a lot of storage space, two closets, free laundry in the unit (the bedroom has no window). Very convenient and safe location, close to supermarkets, universities and hospitals. Photos and videos link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/27829948@N06/sets/72157704923222422/with/47721699252/
  4. How flexible is the field in terms of hours - are you able to choose to work less during the week or is this not common practice?
  5. But that goes against their policy!!! Unless they've changed it? Well if this is true - take heed for the upcoming cycle you lurkers. Apply early and interview early. Alastriss, again - keep the updates headed their way. Call them, try and see if you can set up an appointment with Dr. Norman, do whatever it takes to make them believe that you are serious and really want to get in. I'm rootin for ya!!
  6. For U of T, your essay and letters of reference need to be really well written. If they're generic, it'll hurt you. It's not your 8, many people get intereviews with 8 and many even accepted with 8s. It's how you put your application together that really counts at Toronto - they do a full review for the people who meet the minimums. This is the only thing that I have identified after being here for the last 3 cycles, lol. It's the essay and reference letters.
  7. The ones who somehow manage to score well on those darn ABS questions...anyone who knows people who have gotten interviews, ask them how they answered the questions and that should give you a clue for what Mac looks for next year. It's GPA + ABS = Interview so it's gotta be ABS as the deal-breaker, most people will likely have 3.80+ cGPA.
  8. The thing is - people don't start to think about international options unless they have no chance at home. Those that have a chance at Cornell Qatar would have a good chance at home also right? So these schools aren't really opening up any options for the people that have to go to the Caribbean.
  9. It's not the MCAT scores, you guys should know that. It's not quite the GPA score either as the spread is quite varied, ranging from 3.80s to 4.0s - realistically though, I know, it's important to have 3.85 at least. But take a look at In Valid - he had a 3.97 and was still waitlisted. The most important thing is your non-academic package: You really have to have a well-written essay, a very good EC list (leadership, volunteering or research, clubs), and very well written LORs. The interview is also very important.
  10. Why would they take this into account? Everyone values diversity but I don't think schools actively try to make their classes diverse, you're not going to get extra points for being homosexual. It says it on their website, they do not take into consideration your race, sexual orientation, religion, etc....
  11. Found out that I'm getting a letter 2nd round - which means I'm rejected b/c I've already completed my degree two years ago. MCAT: 11.5 AGPA: 4.32 ECs: Standard stuff Interview went bad - I knew it. Damn, my positive vibe thread didn't work Edit: Received email today, June.4 at 6pm ET. Rejection confirmed, so for all those wondering if they WL everyone since the OOP interview pool is so small, don't worry, if you get WLed it's a good thing, b/c those at the very bottom such as myself get rejected. FCK MY LIFE.
