  1. CONGRATS!!! Another awesome PM 101-er! See you in the fall And woah! Congrats on all of your acceptances. Thats fantastic!
  2. Fellow non-trad who got into Mac!! Took a year off after high school. Then moved all the way across the country for UG. Wrote and bombed my MCAT in 2007 which made me swear off med school. Did my Masters with the full intention of doing a Ph.D and continuing research/academia. I'll be defending that masters in about a month...wooop! I re-wrote my MCAT in summer 2009 and did okay except for Bio. I applied to Mac to get some experience with the application process before I went full throttle the next year, with a VR=10. Wound up getting an interview and then accepted! Bonus! I only applied to one school. It just goes to show that you only need one. I also don't have the highest GPA. I went to the maritimes for my UG...they drink lots of beer there...my marks suffered but it was so worth it! You don't need a 4.0! In fact, I wouldnt want one unless I knew that my social life wouldnt suffer. Congrats other non-trads!!! Well deserved!!
  3. Nemesis....you know you wanna come to Mac. There are some legendary PM101-ers going.....
  4. Yay!!!! Oh this is the best news ever! Oh..accepted, Hamilton campus!!! I've been wanting to write one of these since 2007! And this forum has been there for me the entire time. Finishing my masters in a month. GPA= 3.81 VR= 10 Interview felt ok..but I guess it went better than expected! Applied to: Mac Interviewed at: Mac Accepted to: Mac Im going to Mac....it just goes to show, you only need one school!
  5. Mac is proooobably out for you as well with a VR of 9 but it doesnt hurt to try next year if you really dont want to re-write. With this being the first year of VR being included, nobody knows what the average accepted score will be. According to this site, the average interviewed score was a VR=11. UofT would be an option because I think their cutoffs are straight 9s across the board. I think Dals cutoffs are similar to UofTs but you'd be OOP (im assuming) and they dont have many OOP spots. I'm in a similar spot with double digits in all but Bio and I'm rewriting next week pending good news from Mac tomorrow (not too optimistic though )! Hey! Wanna swap my VR mark for your Bio? In all seriousness, I would rewrite for VR. Its becoming more and more of a factor. With science marks and WS like the oens you have, I highly doubt they will go down much so the only place to go is up!
  6. imho, you'll probably get to by-pass med school completely
  7. Western looks at your best 2 years as long as they met the requirments for upper year courses (check the site for more details but they basically don't want to see 3rd/4th years with tons of 1st year "easier" courses) I think Queens might looks at most recent 2 years but im not 100% sure. good luck and work hard in your last 2 years (enjoy them too..they fly by!)
