  1. My cGPA was lower than yours and my average was a bit higher if I recall correctly. If this is what you want to do, take the shot. You never know what will happen.
  2. Best to reach out to the programs and former grads to get your info.
  3. Congrats to everyone who got in this year, seems just like yesterday I was accepted
  4. The ABS is inherently subjective. My point is yes there is a score given but there is no way of knowing what will give certain points and how specifically or to what magnitude it will make up for a weakness in another aspect of your application. The writing quality, the committtee and their inherent biases and how much it will impact your ABS score cannot be predicted.
  5. You're asking for details that cannot be given and for all intents and purposes are very hard to put in a calculation. For example: "If I have a 19 on RC, if I add something in my CV that demonstrates leadership, everything will be balanced right?". There are no correct answers to this and "it depends". Reality is. If you have good grades, decent DAT, follow your passions and it shows in your ABS then it will come down to doing well in your interview + luck.
  6. Do not take notes from the text book. There is way too much information. Study off the Study Guide and the notes from the lecture. Use the textbook as a source of clarification. I finished the course in about 5 weeks. P.S the Instructor, TA and administrative staff from Athabasca are great. Marked efficiently and excellent with communicating with you regarding any questions/issues you may have. I had a final grade about 2 weeks after I finished writing the final exam (took more than a week for my exam to get from the Eastern Canada to Athabasca U).
  7. The bold is A+ attainable, the other courses I either haven't taken or haven't heard enough about to provide advice.
  8. Agreed. I was surprised to see some of the class averages of the courses I took when I took a look at my official transcript.
  9. Wow. Dropped out of U of T and York and then lied about having a degree so he can take 9 years to graduate from Ross.
  10. I found Phys II easier than Phys I IMO. Haas's test are pretty fair if you are well prepared.
  11. With the Ontario government at such a large deficit and the already increased medical school spots at already existing Medical schools, I don't see it happening anytime soon. Though I wouldn't mind another medical school in Toronto.
