  1. A few but it's quite rare to be honest. The graduate housing (which is where you'd be) is on the opposite side of main campus making it quite the walk. You can find options for the same price that are much nicer within the same walking distance.
  2. Lived in patrician village for 3 years. Apartment was okay once I fixed it up a bit but management is just sooooo far beyond incompetent, terrible and dishonest. Avoid boardwalk if you can! If you can't, it will be okay, you just have to be prepared to advocate very strongly for yourself.
  3. Although dramatic, those aren't actually mutually exclusive. Also, what in the world should he say when the alternative is you-know-who.
  4. You'd probably get more info on this from the loooong discussion on the Facebook group.
  5. My favourite justification from fairly normal people who support Trump is "well, except for his policies/feelings on women and minorities, I like him for whatever". that's like, at least 70% of the population right there.
  6. A decent part of why I went with Scotia was honestly that they don't make you remember to pay your interest out of your LOC every month. It's so much easier and I find it super weird that other banks don't do it for you.
  7. Umm, I answered you. That doesn't work, obviously, or there wouldn't be physician shortages in Saskatchewan, for example.
  8. Supply and demand only works for fields where there are a finite number of jobs. Not family med. As long as people from Vancouver and Toronto can still open up an office and compete for patients, they will. Thus the issue.
  9. No, because the best candidate is one who will make a competent physician who is likely to stay in said province. That's why in province policies exist. And yah, above a threshold it doesn't matter because above said threshold there's really no way to predict who will be the best physician. Not sure why I got into this again. Oh well.
  10. The pro is pretty cool. I love my MacBook Air though. I get by just fine by typing and screen shots of important diagrams and figures. I was a podcaster so I'd watch the lectures and summarize the slides in Evernote. Then I write out notes by hand when studying for exams. Honestly just depends whether you really want to hand write notes and whether you prefer Mac or PC.
  11. The lasik discount is awesome though. The GoodLife one is pretty good too.
  12. Stethoscopes are like half off once school starts though...
  13. Not unless you've worked in Alberta for 2 years while NOT attending post secondary. http://studentaid.alberta.ca/before-you-apply/eligibility/
  14. Please note (for others) that for many provinces, the province you receive student loans from is the province you attended high school in. Also that some provinces (Ontario) give grants while others don't. And I feel like Ontario gives most people a lot more than that? So keep that in mind.
