  1. From what I heard, Systems Neuroscience is one of the easier fourth year bio courses.
  2. Falling, who was your prof for Molec II? I am thinking of taking it with Dr. Hudak, but Dr. Bayfield is also teaching it this year
  3. To anyone that has taken any BIOL courses at the 3000 or 4000 level, Which courses did you find most interesting with manageable workload?
  4. Has anyone taken PSYC 2220 - Sensation and Perception I? Alistair Mapp is teaching it this year but I've been hearing that the course is challenging. Any feedback?
  5. Thank you, Falling. After spending the entire day, I think I will take: Fall term: Orgo I, Biochem, Macroecon, Animals, psyc statistics (doing a minor in psyc) Winter term: Orgo II, Cell bio, Genetics, psyc research methods, and Biological basis of psychology I will probably take BIOL 2070 in the summer after my third year.
  6. Thanks for the reply! Hmm So getting an A in 2070 is relatively easy? I had upper year students telling me to avoid 2070 if I can, so I am a bit confused haha Perhaps, handling ~10 hours a week with a full course load would be a bit hectic? It's really difficult to meet the 30 credit FCL threshold. Animals, Plants, and Ecology (4 credits each) would make 12 credits, which sums up nicely to meet 30 credits. But if I were to drop Plants and take 2070 instead, then it sums up to 29... Do you know if I need to take another 3 credit to make it FCL? Thanks for the help, Falling.
  7. Hey all! I am trying to select my second year courses and I am torn between choosing BIOL 2070 (Research Methods) Vs. BIOL 2010 (Plants), BIOL 2030 (Animals), and BIOL 2050 (Ecology). I am a Biology major, so BIOL 2070 is not a required course for me. I am trying to avoid taking BIOL 2070 (or perhaps taking it during next summer) after reading negative comments about its massive work load and rarely awarded A+'s. But I am also hearing negative comments for the three BIOL courses, which also have three hour lab components - so their work load won't be any lighter than BIOL 2070 I assume - and rarely awarded A+'s as well. Which option would you recommend?
