  1. Hello, I was wondering whether any recent students accepted to Md/PhD could share some insight into what’s required to get accepted into the program. I realize it’s competitive but there isn’t a lot of information on what the exact requirements are. For example, what’s the minimum GPA requirement, how much research experience is required, how many publication etc. if someone can share their experience and stats, it will be highly appreciated. Thanks!
  2. I was wondering whether anybody ever putting going to the gym in their diversity of experience. It’s a big hobby for me but I am confused how I would verify it? Thanks in advance!
  3. Hi, I am a little confused as to how the gpa is calculated at U of T. So you don’t need a full course load to apply but you do need it if you want the weighted gpa? Right? But then it says the CGPA is calculated using the OMSAS scale for all courses taken in a full year. What if I only did one full year? Will they only calculate my gpa based on that one year?
  4. Just had question regarding the full time years. Do the full time years need to be completed before application or can you complete the second full time year during the application year. so for example, can we apply at the end of first year and get accepted at the end of 2nd year provided they are both full time years and you do the MCAT. OR, do we have to apply at the end of second year and get accepted at the end of third year?
  5. Hey guys, I wanted to ask how much a full course load matters for UBC. I realize it’s not required but does it give you an edge post interview. I have always taken 4 courses and one semester of 3. At the end of 4 years I’ll have 92 credits. So I’ll have to take 5 years to finish my undergrad. Would that negatively effect my application? Has anyone in the past not taken full course load and still gotten in? Thank you for your time!
  6. This might be a dumb question but does the number of credits for a course affect the gpa calculation at UBC. For example is a 95% in a 4 credit course the same as a 95% in a 2 credit course when calculated as a percent average. In gpa calculations, an A- in a 2 credit course will drop your gpa much less than in a 4 credit course. Or do they just add all the percent of courses and divide by the number of courses?
