  1. ahhaa, you're a champ man. English is basically my first language. I'm gonna prob do that same thing as you cause I feel I am more competitive in French schools. I have ALWAYS taught myself everything in every program I have ever attended. I hate attending class and never take notes. It seems that if I get into a French medical school, ill be doing the same thing as you. Glad things turned alreight for you.
  2. Ohh really? Do you think they use it post interview to break ties like Ottawa? I just feel it can't be a coincidence that there weren't too many 3.7 GPAs admitted.
  3. Thank you both... That's a good sign. See applicants are still posting about their GPAs so that's why I asked.
  4. Thank you for posting. However, I thought that the GPA was only used as a cutoff and not competitively. This is what the admission admin told me.
  5. Hi all, I have two dumb questions to ask: 1). Does Western use the GPA competitively or just as a cutoff? 2). What does SWOMEN stand for and t=do you get GPA grace with it or just MCAT grace? I thank you all
  6. Ahahah, nice. I am a second quartile as well but unfortunately, I have not yet gotten any email and I am too scared to check on Minerva. I guess I can assume a rejection for now. Wish me better luck next year, and all the best to you for your interview. P.S, tell those other friends of yours to start contributing to this forum ahahah, we need more data points.
  7. Hello, congratulations, I am so happy for your interview invite. I have a few questions I wanted to ask you if you do not mind, Its impressive that you are the only applicant here to get an interview being a 2nd quartile. 1). Are you a regular QC uni applicant or do you meet any other special interest group? (RRSP, Army etc...) 2). Has the further review changed to an interview invite yet?
  8. Hey, I got question for you if you do not mind. Are the quartiles different from the z score that the schools are sent? If not, would it make more since to write the Casper sooner, as there would be less people to compete with? I feel that the quartiles are how you compared against those who wrote the exam on the same day as you, where as the zscore is how you compare against every person that has ever written the exam. Is this correct?
  9. Hello all I hope you're all well. If seems that the number of applicants who applied to McMaster this cycle increased by 50%. Usually, 800 people apply. However, this cycle, 1200 applicants applied.
  10. Sorry, just seeing this now. My apologies, I didn't mean to sound the way I did. I definitely used the wrong choice words. Thank you for pointing that out and my apologies for any hard feelings fellow former pre-med. All the best and congratulations on your acceptance.
  11. Are you Aboriginal, French, military or rural? This seems pretty low with regards to city offs
  12. Hi, are you french or 1st nation? An MCAT of 507 is really surprising
  13. Is this when the school sends out the emails as to whether an applicant is rejected or not?
  14. Naww still can't. I could gauge my competitiveness for other school when I see it.
