  1. Bumping this post! I am now taking on new students for the 2024 cycle
  2. Hello everyone, Last year I was successful in helping several students gain acceptance at UOttawa for medical school during interview prep. This year I'm hoping to help candidates self themselves in the best possible way to gain an interview. Although I used to be part of the French stream (And therefore would be able to help most in this regard), I would be happy to review English applications as well. Please PM me to let you know how I can best help and to find out what my rate is!
  3. Hi there - I'm not sure how exactly the invites get sent out but I heard back on January 28th or 29th when I applied years ago (I wouldn't lose sleep over this haha I know it can be stressful and overthinking whether or not you were the last one to receive an invitation, implying you have a steeper hill to climb with respect to interview performance). And as far as I know med students are recruited for the interview stage and don't participate in the initial file review, at least when I was in medical school. Things may have changed since then. Best of luck!
  4. Hello (Bonjour) everyone! I'm an ex-graduate of Ottawa's French stream and understand how stressful it is to apply/interview for medical school. I really think that the Francophone community is in need for more physicians who are willing to serve them and so I'm encouraging those of you who are bilingual to seriously consider applying to the french stream! I have previous experience in medical school application prep and for this application cycle, I'm willing to offer interview prep sessions on a first come first serve basis for anyone who is wanting to feel more confident in their interviewing skills and have a flavor of what could be expected on their interview day. I know that there are a lot of English speaking applicants who are less comfortable in their French-speaking in a professional setting and as an individual who has gone through this process as well - I have the perspective on how to help you guys gain a competitive edge. Disclaimer however that I do not in any way represent the university of Ottawa and there will not be any discussions pertaining to official interview prep materials (including prior mock interviews) Please feel free to PM me for rates! Looking forward to meeting with some of the next generation of doctors EDIT: I will now be taking on new students for the 2024 cycle (also open to English students however priority is to French). Please feel free to message me to discuss how I can best help!
  5. Bumping this to ensure that things haven't changed as I am planning on writing the USMLE this summer
  6. Speaking in practical terms, a robot will never be an independent provider. Can you imagine suing one for medical error? Someone has to and always will be responsible for the final call (i.e. a supervising physician).
  7. I feel like this should be noted in the email sent out to applicants. In such an emotionally charged situation some might act out of impulse instead of looking for this type of thing
