  1. Not sure why tbh. Just following directions. 20$/hour tutoring isn't a lot at all for any subject. MCAT was like 30+ plus prep pay. High school math in calgary easy 20/hr through agencies.
  2. Hey *Just an update* I had some people interested in meeting up and getting help preparing for the MMI. The faculty recently sent an email not to get involved in this. SO I can't actually get together and provide informal tutoring. If anyone wants to learn more, they plan on doing something early next year.
  3. Hey, I am inferring it based on a few things. a) the feel I got coming out of it; def went way better than dentistry interview and day/night difference btwn previous cycle. Was able to calmly answer all Qs I can't reveal details/ signs during the interview but they were definitely there. c) same stats+ cv: going rejected to accepted may15 this cycle vs last (more competitive cycle 2014) If you have any other Q you can PM
  4. ^ Second this; for me personally the difference btwn doing really well on the interview and average came down to a few pieces of advice and practice I got. You'd be surprised small things you can do which make the biggest difference.
  5. I interviewed MMI in AB and did absolutely amazing this past cycle (compared to first time interviewing). If your interested in testing out prep services I can tutor you for one 1hr session and you can judge for yourself if it is helpful or not. Pm for details. Charge 25/hr.
  6. Hey, I have started meeting with a few people for MMI prep. If anyone is looking to hone in on there interviewing skills I would be more than happy to do some one-on-one tutoring over Skype/ in person. Pm me for details/more info
  7. HAHA yuppp WOW i did not know they changed the application deadline to today. Sorry for all those who pm'd. I guess the next big thing is the MMI. If anyone is starting early to prep feel free to PM me. I can do some one on one coaching over Skype/or in person. I started prepping last year around Nov-December. The earlier the better imo. Vick
  8. Hi, I am first year med student at the u of a who went through the application process twice. Learning to score well on the application was one of the two reasons I went from straight rejected to accepted on May 15. If anyone wants me to go over their application and edit/provide some feedback pm me. I can meet up on campus. I will charge a fee for my time of $20/hour (what I charge for tutoring). If you have not started writing yet we can also discuss framing your overall app/planning/etc .
  9. Accepted Graduated GPA: 3.90 MCAT: 34 EC: I think I scored around at average Interview: My strongest part. I interviewed last year and did pretty bad (rejected). I prepped hard for two months with a friend and did amazing this year. Literally every station went really REALLLY well. If you prep properly you can definitely do extremeley well on the MMI.
