Did anyone else find it difficult to secure interviews for radiology this year? I personally ended up with a lower number of interviews than I had hoped for and I am curious to hear about others' experiences. Compared to last year, most of my seniors that applied got majority of the schools they had applied to. For some context: I applied to 12 programs, and received 4 interviews. I am cognizant of the fact that radiology is highly competitive. While my application may not have been the strongest, I did not think it was weak either. When I received feedback from radiology residents/mentors on my CV and personal letters, they all gave really positive feedback. My references also assured me strong letters, with 2/3 even offering me a letter in the first place. The only significant drawback on my application was my horrible score on CaSPER (lowest quartile), which I was forced to write while I was super sick. Tbh, I think this may have been one of the biggest factors.

Is there any interest among physician assistants in Canada to work in radiology? Can you undergo specialized training to do basic image interpretation?
