Hello everyone. I am taking the Canadian DAT soon and I did my first PAT practice test (from DAT Bootcamp). It was an extreme time crunch and I ended up not being able to answer 10 TFE questions and 3 cube counting questions on time. My strategy was to start from cube counting as that is one of my strongest sections then I moved through to pattern folding. Then back to angles and hole punching before finally returning to keyholes. The estimated score I received was a 20. I would really appreciate any comments/feedback on how to improve my timing on this section. I have been practicing individual questions for a while trying to build a personalized approach but I am still unable to answer at a rate that would allow me to go through this section completely.

Hi everyone I took the canadian Dat earlier and I had gotten AA 21 [RC 25 Biol 20 Chem 18 Pat 18] and I just took the US Dat and I got AA 23 [RC 30 QR 23 Bio 24 Chem 23 OC 16 PAT 19] so obviously I did better on the US Dat but I am wondering if I should apply with it considering i got a 16 on ochem [I am bad at ochem] Was just wondering if the Canadian or the american scores would be better all things considered thanks!

The first DAT exam is coming up soon so I thought of starting a discussion for the fall 2021 dentistry admissions in case you had any questions!

Hi there, I am a third year undergrad trying to get into Dentistry, specifically aiming for the University of Manitoba. If anyone could help and steer me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. There's a lot of info on here but most of it is for other schools such as UofT. So I guess I have a couple of questions for anyone who knows about UManitoba's acceptance rates, averages etc. 1) There is a lot of talk AGPAs but not a lot about core course averages. If you were accepted or know anyone who has been accepted into the program, do you mind sharing your AGPA as well as your core course GPA? I'm asking because I would like to know if anyone has ever been accepted with a low core course GPA of 3.7 (which happens to be mine lol). 2) I find myself stressed trying to get all A's in my science courses. In my first year I managed to get all A's. In my second year and third year I got a range of B and B+'s. Is there room for error in getting B's and B+'s? or is my dream of being a dentist over because I don't have all A's? 3) UManitoba lists their minimum core course average and DAT score on the application as 3.60 (2019) and 18.50 (2019). This being the minimum, would you have a good chance of being accepted being near the minimum? Some previous applicants who I have seen on this forum have GPAs typically around 3.9-4 range. 4) Are only the top students accepted into the program? Like those who have high GPAs and high DAT scores? Or is there a chance with those who have a mediocre GPA/DAT and possibly a good interview? To anyone that answers, thank you for any advice.

Hey Guys! I was wondering if someone had any advice for the reading comprehension section of the DAT, as I always find that I am crammed for time near the end of the third article. Secondly if someone could recommend some good resources for solid practice that would be great as well! I currently have DAT crusher for RC, but was looking for more resources.

Hi, I stumbled upon a thread that said UWO doesn't really look at the scores except for RC? Is this true and can anyone confirm?

Hi all, I'm looking to purchase soaps to practice for the MDT. The https://www.datsoapcarving.ca/soaps.php site has been sold out for weeks and CDA is super expensive. Anyone have any idea where I can purchase additional soaps to practice with? Also if people have tips on how to practice without soap (i.e. suggest other materials....I was thinking candles?) that would be great too!!

I plan on writing the cDAT in November, and wanted to start during as soon as finals are done. I've read around and heard that DAT crusher is the best to do well on the DAT, but just wanted to hear more opinions before I buy DATcrusher. Also for those who have written, in terms of chemistry how did you prepare and do well and even for bio!?

Hey guys, for the DAT that's scheduled in UofT, is it the St.George campus where we write it? I live pretty far so I was thinking about getting an AirBnB and wondering which campus it's on. Thank you!

This is the second time I took the DAT as I did a practice one early on in my undergrad. I am planning to apply to US schools this summer and Canadian schools this Fall. Please give me your honest opinions! I did well in some sections but not the best in others. Here are my scores: Reading 24 Bio 21 Chem 18 Science Total 19 AA 21 PAT 19 MDT 15 Overall my CGPA is 3.8 it would be higher for schools that drop your worst year. Uoft/UBC: 3.89, Western 3.92, Mcgill 3.8 I also have a ton of EC's, leadership experience, and dental volunteering/shadowing. But i'm worried about my PAT score. specific schools i'm looking at: McGill, Uoft, Western, Dal, UBC, and I'll also apply to UofS, UofA and UofM
