if you're feelin adventurous, try applying to A*STAR located in Singapore.

I spent 12 weeks doing a cancer research; focusing on p53 mutation and in-vivo drugs. Got the opportunity to learn to do necropsy of lab mice, prepare histology slides and analyse them. I even got to write a paper, along with my supervisor and it is just submitted for publishing. I even got to see the man who discovered the p53 gene! Sir David Lane! So... this is a good one to look into!

The Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA) supports short-term research attachments for international students at A*STAR. It provides a unique opportunity for top overseas students to experience the vibrant scientific environment in A*STAR Research Institutes and Consortia. Students will be able to work with distinguished and world- renowned researchers in A*STAR labs. This award will normally be for students in the later years of a Bachelor or Master level program. Students considering PhD studies in A*STAR are encouraged to apply for the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) programme.
