How is the optometrist market in Ontario? I've read from so many forums that it's bleak in U.S. Many graduates have to piece together part-time jobs for a full-time schedule. Even then, they are paid way less than average. Any input from optometrists working in Ontario would be greatly appreciated.

As a rule of thumb, all markets in every job sector are saturated. Basic human needs such as food and shelter will no longer be sustainable. Alternatively, don't worry about it, do what makes you happy and the money will come as a result of a consistently high quality of product and/or service.
