Med Students - Need help re: Neurology textbooks!

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted, but I'm glad to be back. Just an update, I'm now a PGY 2 in Neurology at Western..........I was involved in teaching first year medical students last year (and will be again this year), and heard from them how poorly neurology is taught in general, and how there are really no good neurology textbooks for medical students.

This echoed my own experience, even though I was at U of T (I thought it was just me!). I've decided to write my own book, focusing on neuroanatomy and how to localize specifically, since I'm not that far removed from being a med student, and really want to make it great for you guys. Something you can read in 2 weeks, learn from, and use (much like Dale Dubins, EKG book). So please tell me, why do you think neurology texts are bad, and what would you like in a book? Is there anything you like about the current texts? ALL comments are appreciated!

Thanks so much guys,
