I think it would be helpful to start a thread similar to ones for other schools for interview invites/regrets. Format is as follows:

ECs: A ton - really amazing leadership experiences, research, a publication (1st author), authentic, unique stuff.

I'm an IP student, received an interview invite last year, but refused this year. My resume is even stronger- more volunteer, full time work, re-did a prerequisite course and was in top 5%. Does anyone have a similar situation? I guess I just assumed I would have another invited since I did last year, with a worse resume/CV.

Pretty sure if your Minerva still says "Ready for Review", it implies you will get an invite tmr. Because they send out rejection today.

This has been my case for the past few years. I was invited for interview for fall in 2012 and refused post-interview. I've worked really hard for the next 2 admission cycles and only improved myself but got refused at initial screening.

I really can't explain how that happens, but my improvements included a M.Sc with first author submission, volunteering at few places, music training, etc.

I applied as a non-traditional applicant for the MD/MBA program.

Oh well, it's off to another field.

ECs: worked the last 5 years as an OT. Been a cadet instructor for the last 10 years. Won numerous awards for my volonteering. Was on the student council during university as well as on a national student organization. One pub.

Congratulations to all who have been invited so far  ! Make sure you sign up for some of the events the students society will be hosting for you the weekend before the interviews. I participated in them last year and they were amazing and a great way to destress and ask questions before the interview.

 

Warm thoughts to those who didn't receive an interview. Don't be hard on yourself. There is a large amount of luck that goes into this med school application game. I only received an interview to McGill on my 3rd application - if this is what you are meant to do don't give up on your dream!
