Result: Rejected

wGPA: 3.94
MCAT: 11VR
ECs: I think my ECs were fine, it's just that my mom forced me to apply the night before. My goal was dentistry so i'm sort of glad I got this off my chest, but disappointed I could have used this as a practice round for UofA/US dental interviews. Anyways good luck to everyone who got an interview :)

Pretty chapped to not get interview this year considering my GPA and EC's have all increased since last year where I actually received an interview.

Result: Invted

wGPA: 3.81 wGPA (10 yr invoked)
ECs: I feel like they're fairly strong and varied. Lots of work with animals, hospice palliative care volunteer, senior level 14-year-long career on the creative side in advertising, high level music performance, ~3 years of research (unpublished). Worked a great deal on my presentation of my top 10 this year after learning my lesson last year.
Year: graduated undergrad June 2014, had a previous diploma in design from ten years earlier.
Geography : IP

I'm completely ecstatic and very grateful for the opportunity. I look forward to meeting everyone in Calgary. I questioned whether this would ever happen after jumping ship to pursue my dreams seven years ago and receiving a round of rejections last year. Non-trads have hope!

Result: Invite

GPA: 3.69

MCAT: VR 8

EC: Interpersonal/communication/leadership type stuff are very strong - scored in the top 10 percent in all of these sections last year. Weak in "intellectual curiosity" - scored in the bottom 30% last year and nothing has changed this year.

Year: 1st year MSc.

Geography: IP

Based on my low GPA and verbal score I'm pretty surprised I got an invite at U of C for the second year in a row.
