wow, they're already sending out offers? How long after May 12 should I officially give up and not hold out any more hope, realistically?

 

I gave up hope when the class was nottified full on June 21st.

I ended up getting an offer on Aug 7th.

Someone withdraws for personal reasons or receives a late offer at a school they would have preferred (since you can stay on waitlists outside of Ontario even if live accepted in Ontario.)

 

I know of someone who got into MUN around two days before classes started.

I have declined my offer in favour of UBC. That's one more spot open at Mac, good luck everyone

I think the waitlist only moves on business days. The first major wave is really 2 weeks to the date from when the initial offers came out, based on my perception. It's only been 10 days or so since the initial offers, plenty of time (and hope), waitlisters.

Four of my friends got offers off the waitlist yesterday and today (2 today and 2 yesterday)

Weren't there two people who got off the waitlist on Thursday, May 21st, fightoffyourdemons and someone else? They removed their posts off the official waitlist thread right? 

 

It seems as if then there are 4 people who got off waitlist who posted on pm101 in the last 2 days? Can anyone confirm this for me?

I didn't. I would be willing to bet tomorrow - Thursday the odds are greater.

No I don't think they sent out any offers today. My guess is the offers will come out either tomorrow or Wednesday

Did you get it off the McMaster waitlist or did you get an offer at another school and will be leaving the McMaster waitlist?

 I got an offer from the McMaster waitlist and I declined because I've already accepted at another Canadian (non-Ontario) school.

I made an account to say that I'll be rejecting an offer to mac I got off the wait list yesterday so that's one more spot available!  I've been on wait lists twice and I know how hard it is (you can't really make solid commitments cuz ur still hopeful you may get in but they you don't want to hope too much because you might not get in...).  I truly hope that all of you will get an offer soon, and regardless of the outcome never stop believing in yourselves. <3
