Intro - First Year Student

Hello! My name is Ashley (:
I just finished my 1 year Pre-Nursing program in May 2015, and will be entering a 4 year BScN program next month!
I am a mother of 2 boys and am engaged to their father of 5 years! He is also in school to eventually become a Police Officer. I would also like to continue my schooling and possibly become a specialized nurse, nurse practitioner or at best, a doctor .. or maybe even a specialist (doctor) - lol.
I am nervous about how these 4 years will go as I am "modified" I have tattoos (only one is visible - but would like to get more visible ones) as well as having piercings. Not only that, my ear lobes are also stretched. I have orientation on Sept. 2nd which will hopefully cover these guidelines, but I have a feeling I may have to talk to someone about them. I am one to stand strong behind beliefs and tattoo and piercing acceptance in the workplace is one of them. I do currently have coloured hair right now as well, but that will be going blonde before my program starts, just to save an argument.
Anyways, I am excited to talk to new people and get to know and make some new friends!

hi Ashley! my congratulations about your finishing Pre-Nursing program! that`s cool to have a big family, so I guess you are happy woman!=) don`t worry about your tattoos and piercing, there are things much more important, then tattoos, I mean personal qualities of nurse. Nurse should have good communication and judgement skills, be patient with patients, who have mental diseases (more qualities are  here). So for nurse more important are professionalism and personal qualities.
