Apply For Optometry After A Bachelor In Nutrition- Université De Montréal

I completed my bachelor in nutrition last december with a GPA of 3.413

I always wanted to study optometry even before getting into nutrition. I didn't have the R score for optometry when I finished college and now my GPA is really not good enough.

So I'd like to know what can I do to improve it. I was thinking about starting another program like chemistry but I'm not sure if it's the right choice

Donc, j'ai complété un BAC en nutrition au mois de décembre passé avec un GPA de 3.413. Toutefois j'ai toujours voulu étudier en optométrie. Au cegep ma cote R n'était pas assez élevé, alors j'avais décidé d'appliquer en nutrition. Le problème est que maintenant mon gpa n'est pas assez bon. J'aimerais savoir comment je pourrais faire pour l'augmenter. Je pense entamer un autre programme comme la chimie, mais je ne suis pas certaine.

I would say it's probably not worth studying something else that you're not super interested in, there is no guarantee that you will be able to get a high enough gpa. Also I think a program like chemistry would yield a lower CRU.

Do you mind saying what your r score was in cegep? If you didn't improve much from cegep to university despite your high ambitions, maybe it says something about your studying skills....

French schools look at all your completed grades. Therefore, UdeM would not be a good school to aim for. You better look at Waterloo, and what their requirements are. 

Yep, French schools are unforgiving.
