rural_roots
Hi all, Was wondering if any of you attend Trent's Compressed Nursing program. Was specifically wondering how the school/life balance is - for instance, is it feasible one could have a part-time job at the same time as being in this program? Med_Pack
Trent is my alma mater! I took Biology but know of a few people who did the compressed program, one of my closest friends being one of them. She said it was really hectic but still quite doable, of course you won't get a vacation really in those 28mons. I think it all depends on how you manage stress too. She's not as good with that and had a bout of pretty severe IBS around the time she was changing programs (from Bio into nursing). I think that hectic programs get easier when you're a mature student. At least I find, I can juggle so much more now than I could in first year without getting stressed out. My brain can transition better or something I think. lol. Anyway, are you looking into this as a back-up? I can tell you from my experience with Trent, it is an amazing school, I just have some of the best mentors anyone could ever ask for because of going there. No school is perfect and it's not like every experience I had that there was peachy, but compared to a lot of other schools, it really stands out as having a high concentration of teachers who genuinely want to be there and see you succeed.
