Guess I'll start it off!

TIME STAMP: I checked around 11:45 a.m.

Result: Invite :D

wGPA: 3.83

MCAT: Not submitted

ECs: PM me if interested and I'll provide detailed info!

Year: Graduated

IP/OOP/International: IP

Letter of EC: No

Was not expecting to see an update until Jan 25 so I was totally unprepared and started crying at a restaurant! Good luck to everyone. I can't believe I'm posting one of these!!

I am oop. Did anyone else get anything or just OP?

Do you get notification if you get a regret..? 

I'm pretty sure statuses get updated until Jan 25 so don't fret if you don't have an update yet (someone told me this and it seems pretty logical)

So happy about this, it's been a long time coming since my rejection after undergrad! My advice to fellow applicants is to never give up if this is really what you want and don't let one app cycle get you down. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear back.

ECs: LOTS of intramurals (at least 2 teams a semester in minimum two sports for last 8 years), crisis counselling, choir, exec on student councils, trainee rep in scientific societies

Always thought my GPA gave me no chance at most schools, glad to see I'm being given a bone! Good luck to everyone!

ECs: work, research, volunteering. Been a premed for 8 years now so i have been racking up ECs for a while.

Second time applying and second time interviewing. I interviewed for md/phd (and rejected) last year and I am interviewing mdcm this year.

Started to get discouraged... trying my best to keep my chin up... went to the Lindt store so I have truffles to sooth myself lol

Very very good CV and spend 8 weeks on letter, CVPN was really good but I think my grades didn't pass

cGPA: Not sure what it was for Mcgill. Either a 3.91 or 3.97

MCAT: Not submitted

ECs: Lots of employment including owning a business, a couple of clinical volunteer experiences, a number of volunteer positions with vulnerable populations, lots of sports. Small role as a research assistant, but no pubs.

Year: Last year of UG

Geography: OOP

 

Not surprised with the decison given how few OOP applicants get an opportunity to interview

ECs: Volunteer with people with Alzheimers, coach children's soccer, volunteered in 2 research labs, 1 poster publication. Play a lot of sports ( competitive soccer is one of them)

ECs: 3 internships including 1 in a pharmaceutical company in NY, member and captain of UdeM women soccer team with national and international experience, won several sports and academic awards, started a master's this year with 1 pub, 1 poster and 1 abstract published at Sfn (Society for neurosciences) and some other volunteering and project management...

First time applying at McGill, I applied in the MD-PhD program, once my master's done I might have a better shot! Good luck everyone :)!!!
