Worth A Go At Queen's?

Hey guys

 

I am IP finishing my MSc, trying to see if I am reasonably competitive for Queen's (not sure if my MCAT will hold be back), just looking to get some feedback.

 

Queens GPA - 3.96

 

MCAT - 510 (126 Cars, 128 others)

 

Above average ECs, filled OMSAS sketch entries with long-term commitments. I have stayed at the same institution for 5 years now and was able to keep up all my commitments during my MSc as well as take on many others. If more interested in hearing my ECs feel free to PM me.

 

I was bummed about my CARS, but from what it looks like some applicants with a 125 and a good overall score got interviews last cycle. I always thought you needed at least a 10 on the old section (127+) but maybe Queen's is now looking at the overall score with certain cutoffs for each section...?

If the cost of applying isn't an issue, I'd apply. I applied practically everywhere and only had two interview, Queens and UofA. At the end of the day a big part of the application scoring is just luck, so why not?
