In Canada, when do residencies start? And when do medical students graduate from medical school? In the USA most people graduate around June 1st and start residency around July 1st from what I understand but I have been told it is different in Canada. You will likely start your first regular work day on the first monday after july 1st, unless you are put on call during the july 1st weekend and then you would start then.
