4 Year Degree For Us Med Schools?

Recommended Posts

Uh, yeah, there definitely are. Of course, they aren't easy to get into. Just a few examples: Perelman, UCLA, UCSF, Case Western Reserve, Emory, Johns Hopkins, Yale, Columbia... yeah they're mostly Ivy leagues and private schools, but they do exist.

That don't require a 4 year undergrad degree??

I literally just decided to search up one of those you listed:

4 year undergraduate curriculum...

To be fair, in the link you provided they say,

"We strongly recommend that premedical students pursue a four-year undergraduate curriculum and obtain a baccalaureate degree before entering medical school.

However, we only require completion of three years (135 quarter units or 90 semester units) of acceptable transfer college credit from an accredited institution"

I would say this school does NOT require a 4 year undergrad degree!

Edit: Case Western does require a completed undergrad degree though (https://case.edu/medicine/admissions/application-process/requirements/)
