Scotiabank Loc Advisor - Do I Have To Go With The One In My City?

Recommended Posts

My current Scotiabank advisor is a different guy then the person I had when I initially signed up for my LOC. My initial advisor was very informed and great. Current advisor is good and nice - but he tends to get things wrong in terms of some of the info he provides and I find it very non-reassuring! However, he seems to be the guy I was assigned when the other guy left and he's taking care of the region I'm in.

Do I need to keep him as my advisor? I've heard great things about other advisors from Scotia in other locations. I'm happy to do everything through email/telephone so if I can have an advisor that's more informed but not in my city that would be a much easier solution to my problem than my current situation!

My advisor retired. She was awesome. The new guy is very bad. I'm probably ditching him (after I complain to his superiors) or the entire bank if needed, when I get around to it (we have a new baby so I'm a bit tied up right now).

My advisor was in a different province when I was a resident.
