kin12345
Hello! I have a question regarding the specialty focus of MPT programs in Canada. I was told that UBC has a neuro focus while Alberta has a sports focus and Western has an orthopedic focus, is this true? Also, what do Queens and McMaster focus on? Thanks! FowlerKennedy
I know Western is huge on MSK, their profs are heavily involved with Ortho division, manual therapy courses. Toronto offers great opportunities in cardio resp / neuro, research. Mac does problem based learning so i would recommend if you like self directed learning and feedbacks. Queen's.... I have no clue lol

MDwannabe02
All schools will give you the entrance to practice skills you need to pursue any clinical focus you may have. I'd recommend being as open as you can early in your career to develop good skills as a general PT clinician - especially since PTs can't technically call themselves "specialiats" anyway. You have your whole career to develop a clinical focus. So keep it fluid as long as you can.
