Conference Expenses

I'm going to my first conference with my PI. He's mentioned that our entire team is going (2 staff physicians, 2 medical students and me). 

 

What should I expect to be covered by our grants? Airplane ticket? Hotel stay? All expense spa and 3 mich star restaurants?

 

Please advise.

Just ask. No one can give you an accurate answer except the PI. Some conferences are all expenses paid, some expect you to cover all costs.

For most conferences during my MSc, my supervisor paid for the conference registration fee and for any posters that had to be printed. Everything else was up to us. Whether that was covered by grants or out of our own pocket varied by conference.
