Referees Having Issues Submitting Their Forms To Orpas

Hey everyone,

 

one of my referees e-mailed me today to say she tried to submit her letter of recommendation, but the ORPAS website won't allow her to access the link. 

 

I tried calling ORPAS today, but the centre is closed. I'm hoping the reason she's having issues is because ORPAS is closed today, but that would be weird considering this is an online application.

 

I'll be giving ORPAS a call tomorrow morning to figure things out, but has anyone else experienced this issue?

Hi quicksilver, if it helps, yesterday my references were not submitted but today they were listed as received so I don`t think my referees had issues emailing them in yesterday. I would say call ORPAS asap and see whats happening! Not a fun situation during the last week that the application is open so I hope ORPAS figures it out for you today!

Just my luck, the ORPAS line has been busy for over two hours, and I haven't been able to get through. I e-mailed their technical support, but I doubt I'll get a fast response. 

 

It sounds like my referee hasn't been able to submit her forms at all since yesterday (ie. the link she was e-mailed when I set up my referees isn't working).

 

If ORPAS is having technical issues, I wish they would post information on the website (unless their technical issues are so bad, they can't even do that).

If anyone else has been trying to call ORPAS, the direct line (519-823-1063) hasn't been working today (at least for me). Calling OUAC (519-823-1940) and going through their menu system got me through. 

 

I keep getting told there was a technical issue on January 1st, and that it's been resolved, but clearly, it hasn't (my referee tried submitting her forms both yesterday and today). The person I talked to on the phone couldn't help me and directed me to send an e-mail to referee@ouac.on.ca

 

I e-mailed technical support before my call got through, and surprisingly, I managed to get a response back in just over an hour (which told me about their January 1st issue that's apparently been resolved). 

 

Hope this helps if anyone else is experiencing technical difficulties with ORPAS

Hey everyone,


 


So one of my referees submitted her reference letter and when she uploaded it, she got a prompt saying it's already been saved. She clicked Submit for the second time and it went to a new screen, hoping that it went through. When I checked my application, this referee's name was not on the list anymore... Did this happen to anyone as well?

Log into ORPAS and go to "Track documents" and it should show if your references have been received or not.

I just checked and it wasn't there. I find it strange though, because even her name wasn't listed under Referees. I will check again first thing tomorrow morning. Thank you so much for your help.
