jello
Posting for opinions, any suggestions at all Im currently signed up for the february DAT and long story short I don't think I'll be ready in time, and I'm trying to decide whether to unregister or write it and flunk it, but get the experience. Most of the schools I'm looking at only take your highest scores anyway, but I would be potentially cutting myself off from schools that average all scores. But unregistering means losing the registration fee completely...has anyone ended up in this situation? What would you recommend?
hard08
Umm I wrote it once with just 1 week of studying haha. It was actually a good experience. You don't get your money back so I don't think it hurts to just go and wing it. I actually ended up doing pretty good on it but I realized with more studying I could do very very well. What schools average your scores? If your concerned with that, maybe don't take it. The score I got wouldn't hurt me because I was very confident in my science knowledge. Even if I rewrite it, I still don't feel like studying would actually help me. If I rewrite, the only section I will focus on is PAT.

He's right ^ Honestly just write it and start preparing for it now. As long as you have the foundational knowledge and you do alot of practice tests, you'll be fine. I personally only studied for about 4 weeks in which the bulk of it was in last 2 weeks and I did still did pretty darn good (24AA).
221bakerst
Yeah I would just write it too, no refunds and if you have the basics down get cracking on questions.
