reqaiPT
Do pt students typically tend to have personal training experience? Should I become a CPT and work as one? I already volunteer with adapted strength and conditioning at a gym. I just dont create programs for the clients, I help them set up the machines, correct their technique/forms, give tips etc.
theFuture
the volunteer you do with adapted strength and conditioning at the gym seems quite similar to personal training. Have you applied for the 2017 cycle?

PT2014a
YES do it. I am a newly graduated PT and many clinics hiring look for personal training experience as an "asset". Not necessary but it helps you a lot in the future.
