Udem V Mcgill Dent-P?

Recommended Posts

So after a few months of deciding between med school and dentistry I'm convinced my calling would be to be a dentist. I need to know however if, with my first CEGEP semester stats, it's even a realistic goal. So in terms of quality of education, which would be better (subjective I know) to attend, language aside? Also I've a 34.5 score with a high science AVG (roughly 36 in core) with a couple of ECs and distinctions, am i in a good position??

Thanks in advance.

For udem, yes you're in a good position. Since the only requirements are the DAT (as long as you meet the cutoff scores, which are rather low), R score (your r score is good enough) and CASPER, as long as you do well on the CASPER, you'll get in.

For McGill, it will entirely depend on your MMI performance... I've seen people with 36 r scores who have done internships at Stanford get waitlisted, it's hard to tell.

In terms of education, UdeM is known to have better clinical education, and McGill is known to be more theory-focused => for research.

Ok so basically speaking, UdeM, unlike McGill, doesn't prioritize your PS/CV (if applicable?) and minds only of your academic and TECT profiles am i correct? Are there also stats on average r score instead of lowest interviewee??

Thanks
