I just wanted to send out a quick note reminding all Scotia Professional Plan Students to reach out to their advisor in order to take advantage of the LOC staying open after residency.  if you are not sure who your advisor is  or don't have one please feel free to reach out to me.  just as a quick re-cap our program is;

 

- LOC 275,000 at a rate of Prime and give all upfront.

- pre-approved $5,000 Gold Visa

- pre-approved $5,000 Gold Amex

- pre-approved $5,000 Overdraft Protection

- Free Scotia One Unlimited transaction account

- Free High Interest Savings account

- LOC is Kept open after residency at a rate of Prime

 

* there will also be some program enhancements announced in the next few weeks*

Hi Josh,

 

Can you clarify what exactly is meant by "LOC kept open after residency"?

 

Does this mean that you don't have to begin repayment after the standard grace period once you finish residency? Could one technically just allow interest to continue to accrue without ever making a payment?

Good Morning!

 

mnbv- to answer your question.. we will transition your Student LOC to a Professional LOC ( in your personal name) allowing you ongoing access to the available credit limit. 

the repayment has changed... while you're a student the LOC interest is compounded upon itself.. if the option to convert it to a Professional LOC the repayment is Interest only.. I hope this helps .. if you have any other questions please feel free to reach out.

the Rate on the momentum Savings is  .55 and if the money sits for more then 90day you get additional .75... the account is also completely liquid with no restriction with respect to withdraw limits
