Does Mcmaster Physiotherapy Prefer People W/ Honours Degrees?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking into applying to physiotherapy programs next year. Just watched the 2015 McMaster Physiotherapy Program Webinar (http://srs-mcmaster.ca/library/november_pt_webinar_2015/November%202015%20PT%20Webinar_player.html).

At 2:59, there is a slide presented titled: "Where did the class of 2015 come from?". According to that slide every student in the class of 2015 had honours degrees.

In their FAQ and admissions website, I do not see them mention this preference anywhere, so I guess I'm just wondering if they, in fact, do have a preference for honours degrees? I went to a university in the west coast and my program did not have an honours program.

Curious if anyone knows.

McMaster OT/PT admissions does say it requires a 4 year baccheloreate degree which means it must be honours. For OT it does say if you have only a 3 year degree (non honours) you can fulfill extra credit to be considered, the PT admissions may be the same.

I did a 4-year degree at UBC (there was no option of doing an honours degree).

I don't think everyone in my class had an honour's degree. I started at Mac PT in 2014.

Good to know. Thanks.
