I would like to reapply next year although not getting in pushes things further for me as a mature student. All the best in all your endeavours! Kenzie92 Posted February 23, 2017 Author Report Share Posted February 23, 2017 The only factor used for an interview is grades. Coming from a school with GPA rather than % I find to be a hinderance. Last year competitive cut off was 82% (3.8 from my school). I have a 3.78. But what happens is they put your GPA into their sliding scale and then give you the lowest %. For example if I had a 4.33 (pefect score at my school) I would get 90% from UBC. A bit frustrating. I've talked to admissions and they have said multiple times that the only thing considered for interviews is marks. Which is upsetting because I have a ton of experience !
