gradschooldream
Hi, I am applying to med school and MSc in microbiology ( as a back up plan). In the case, I get admitted to medicine, do I have to start grad school or can I decline my grad school offer? How does it work? Thanks!!
newmed2016
If you get in to both this year you can decline your grad school offer and just do med. If you don't get into med and start your MSc, you can apply to med again at u of c and join leaders in medicine while you finish your grad degree (i.e. cannot drop out of your grad degree halfway through it) If it takes you two years to get in you will be done your MSc and can just start med! Also you didn't ask but small word of advice...dont do an MSc as a back up if you don't really like research. It will be a nightmare. If you genuinely like research, go for it, join Leaders in Medicine, live the dream

VolumeOverload
can you apply to medical school while in leaders in medicine? or just the year leading up to your final year of graduate school? In order to be in Leaders in Medicine you need to have been accepted to both the MD program and the grad program.
