I was wondering for the MMI cutoffs how is it done exactly?

For example are we compared to our group that we did the interview with so like the group of 11 or 12?  Or are we compared to everyone so like compared to 200+ people.

As far as i know, you are directly compared with the individuals in your circuit and marked out of a score. That score is averaged and is standardized with a Z score across all circuits. This way if one circuit has really strong individuals, it will be seen when standardized.

In terms of OOP applicants, is there a rhyme or reason to how they are distributed amongst IP? Say someone who has a large proportion of strong OOP applicants in their circuit, would they be at a disadvantage to say those mainly up against IP with less interview experience? Was thinking about this the other day, and guess you'd just hope its as random/as fair as possible.

They try to equalize OOP across all 4 time slots, but this is not always possible. Yes there is a disadvantage with some circuits having more OOP. Sometimes it comes down to just luck.

You are judged against the 24 people that your interviewer assessed. Not your circuit but one other one as well.
