Mcgill Undergrad Choices?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has some feedback on the following programs at McGill in terms of difficulty/possibility of doing well. I had good grades in Cégep and have a good work ethic, but I hear McGill is "impossible" and am worried about having a high GPA. Here are the programs I'm considering:

-Pharmacology

-Neuroscience

-Kinesiology

-Anatomy and Cell Biology

-Biology

McGill is not impossible (I had a 32 r score when I applied to university, and in university, I have a 4.0 GPA), I found university MUCH easier than CÉGEP because the classes are recorded and there are less assignments which means that you have more "free" time, and if you have a good work ethic, you'll do amazing.

I see on another thread that you applied to med-p, which means that you must have had a decent r score... You should have applied to physical therapy... Take a look at the curriculum for each of these programs to get an idea of the types of classes and the difficulty.

Anatomy and Cell Biology is known to be the easiest life sciences program.

Kinesiology is IMO the easiest program on your list (shade not intended), kin has a lot of interesting courses such as musculo & visceral anatomy, physiology, etc. without a lot of the hard classes that you would be required to take in a life sciences program (eg: organic chemistry 2, the infamous biol 200, etc.)

Wow that makes me feel better lol, yeah I do quite well in cegep but I've still been told by many that McGill will be the end of me. Glad you say its easier!! May I ask what your major is? And yeah i dont know why I didn't apply to PT, only applied to a bunch of life sciences. Do you think I'm better off doing kinesiology over anatomy if I'm rejected from med? I thought anatomy was the easiest but hm if kin is....
