Anyone Have Problems With Activating Netid?

Hey guys, so I'm currently trying to activate my NetID with the student ID that I was emailed from queensmd, but it's not working. I've tried logging in many times but it just keeps saying "Please ensure the data entered is correct and the account has not been activated. For additional assistance, please contact the IT Support Centre." 

 

I'm going to call the IT Support Centre on Monday since they're closed now, but in the mean time, have any of you had trouble activating your NetID? I have no memory of ever activating it in the past, and I've searched my entire laptop, my username and password repository, and every email that I've used within the past 4 years, and there's no indication that I ever had a NetID. The only time I ever dealt with Queen's before in the past is when I applied to Queen's in 2013 for undergrad, but I think that was through Quest and I'm sure it has nothing to do with this.

I tried to activate mine some time in March or April and encountered problems as well because the connection kept getting lost or something I'm not even sure. It ended up telling me I already had activated my account even though I hadn't.  I just contacted the IT Support Centre and they reset it for me and now it works fine! They're super quick.

I had the same problems! I also applied to Queens in 2013 for undergrad, and had to use the same NetID that I was given way back then. I only found it by searching "NetID" in the old email account that I was using at the time. Hope that helps! :)

Thanks! I managed to send my NetID to my alternate email address (which turned out to be my mom's email address) and it works now! :)
