positivetension
Trying to get a sense of how big the waitlist is and how likely it is to get in off the waitlist. Based on previous years, it seems like some people do get straight up rejected post-interview, is this true? And if so, do they keep a waitlist relatively close to the number of offers they expect to make, or do they make it much bigger than necessary? greensurR
They definitely flat out reject people I have friends who were rejected. My understanding is they over-accept (send out more offers than spots), AND have a waitlist. But I believe even with the over-accepting, there is waitlist movement every year.
