    • Hey guys! For those on the waitlist, do you have a number? I have been waitlisted and received an email, but there is no number on it.
    • I have just been accepted to McGill's QY for PT and I was hoping that someone who has gone through the program could send me a msg, so I can ask them some questions! Thanks!
    • Hi there,  When you say 3 topics... do you mean chapters? an entire section of the exam? some clarity would be helpful.  How many hours are you putting in every day and what is your routine? Are you in study groups? Did you utilize any prep course?? A more detailed description breaking down everything you've done so far would be more helpful. Specificity is always appreciated.  - G
    • You would think that a classier answer is ...  Thanks for the feedback, though I could have been more clear that my post was focused on whether an unfinished course will affect my chances. I am however aware that a higher GPA is always a better goal to aim for. I appreciate the time you took to comment."  Some free tips for you... having some tact, even if you don't think you're wrong goes a long way. Why treat a conversation with vinegar instead of sugar?  Maybe one day you'll appreciate the importance of tactful communication in all aspects. You'll have a better chance at passing interviews... if you even get there.  Consider that a free lesson in communication skills.  - G
    • TIME STAMP: 08h35 Result: Admitted in Montreal campus!! Casper Quartile: 4 (French) GPA: 3,76/4 Feeling About MMI (please be mindful of NDA): I think I did well in 5 stations and did ok in 2 stations… The acting part at the beginning was very stressful, but I had fun afterwards!  Current year of study: BSc nursing graduate  IP/OOP/International: IP Comments: I’m really happy and surprised. I still don’t realise it! Being French, it’s a bit stressful, because I’ve never studied in English, but it’s a challenge I’ve set myself to improve! I’m open to talk with people who are in the same situation as me or who already experience it!   Good luck everyone!!
    • When it's competitive stream, you have to compete with IMGs or CSAs who may be more qualified on paper. For example, a lot of IMGs have pathology related graduate degrees or research experience. Some CSA would've done electives in pathology because it's known to be more IMG/CSA friendly. Your application is far from a sure shot, because you have minimal exposure. If I were you I'd apply to every program possible and just hope for the best, you can't be picky in round 2.
    • Well a lot of hospital based physicians don't really have a choice. When the hospital starts getting students you either take it or go to another hospital. More and more community places are supposedly becoming affiliated with medical schools. Just look at UPEI/MUN, supposedly they need to hire 70 additional doctors in PEI to reach the capacity for teaching. They'd be lucky if they don't lose any in the first place! Personally I've never got a single dime for all these medical students I've supervised lol.
Merci
    • Nah that’s crazy genre plusieurs personnes te interview en mm temps?
    • TIME STAMP: 7:30 AM Result: Admitted - Mtl Casper Quartile: Q4 GPA: 3,96 Feeling About MMI (please be mindful of NDA): I felt like I did great on 3 stations, the rest felt ok. I really didn't feel like it was enough for an admission. For future applicants, don't overthink your performance. It might have gone way better than expected, just like me. Current year of study: 3rd year of UG (2nd UG) IP/OOP/International: IP Comments: It's been almost 12 hours already and I still don't realise this. This is surreal. Good luck to eveyone!
    • Mcgill also released the offers. I hope it’s better for us.
