  1. The last set of soaps I ordered from the CDA website were the same colour of blue. My guess is that they are from the CDA.
  2. I was #7 on the OOP wait list last year and never got in. It only moved 6 spots.
  3. I'd be careful if I were you. I was accepted into Western and took a deferral as well. It explicitly stated in my deferral letter that it would be inappropriate to apply for any other dental schools. I don't think there is any way that UBC can determine if you are applying elsewhere, but if they find out, they may have grounds to cancel your acceptance.
  4. Yes it was. I actually laughed when I payed the $275 application fee, thinking I was throwing away my money. My stats are no where near what seems to be competitive, but I ended up with an invite for an interview anyways. I guess this is a lesson for all those out there who are deciding whether or not to apply...just try cause you never know what could happen
  5. I was accepted off the waitlist today, but I might try to get a deferral. I'll keep you all posted.
  6. Yup...I had 10 MMI interviews and not one waitlist or acceptance. I just really sucks at MMI format interviews. I got waitlisted at U of T for dentistry (CDA style panel interview) so hopefully I get in there.
  7. I've been applying for med school for 7 years now and just got rejected yet again from the U of A. Over these past 7 years, I have never even been placed on a waitlist. Just flat out rejections. You are on the waitlist and want to pretend you were rejected...unreal. I'd change places with you in a heartbeat. There is no justice in this world.
  8. Hi Kase! I also got dominated, so your not alone! Did u happen to get waitlisted at U of T? Apparently they usually go through their entire OOP waitlist, so there is still a chance. I'm dead last on their waitlist, so things are looking pretty grim for me too.
  9. Well I'll keep my fingers crossed that it moves at least 6 spots . But I'm really hoping it moves 7 because I don't have a whole lot of confidence about my chances elsewhere.
  10. Yes, this is true. I am #17, but only 7 people need to decline their spot for me to get accepted. Keep in mind that some OOP applicants have applied elsewhere and may opt to go somewhere closer to home. I have an interview at UWO and had both dentistry and medicine interviews at the U of A. I'm sure there are others who have had multiple interviews as well. So just like the in province waitlist experiences quite a bit of movement, I'm sure the OOP movement can be quite considerable as well.
