  1. I am currently doing a graduate diploma and will be done the requirements for the diploma at the end of this semester. I have a few interviews (Calgary, Western and still have to hear from Toronto). Will not convocating in June be a problem at these schools? I have emailed all of them but haven't gotten replies yet. The graduate diploma doesn't count at a graduate degree for Toronto. Thanks!

  5. Thanks for the reply! I know Toronto won't let you do so. Any idea what other Canadian schools might allow you to do this?
  6. I was wondering if Mac allows you to apply in the middle of a masters (i.e. leave your masters program to start the MD program). Any insight would be appreciated.
  7. http://www.caspertest.com/casper-sample-questions/ Hello! I am really nervous for casper and am trying to prepare as much as possible (as my completely unexpected and abysmal physical score ruined my chances everywhere else *ouch*). To do so I started by reading some of doing right and trying the practice questions in the link above (using the 5 min limit). I was hoping some of you might be able to share your own answers so that I could have some way of assessing what I wrote. Particularity if you have reason to believe you scored well on capser previously. I would very much appreciate some feedback! If you don't feel comfortable posting here feel free to PM me. Any and all advice is also welcome. Thanks!
  8. Today's the day. Good luck! May the curve be ever in our favor.
  9. Thanks for your input! My cGPA is rather low (3.72) but I applied to Queens anyway in case I just slid past the cut off haha. I guess we will see!
  10. Is it generally thought that the cGPA and wGPA cut offs are different? I looked at their website and it seemed unclear. As someone whose last 2 years GPA is lower than their cGPA I'm really hoping since all courses are included the cut-off won't be as harsh, but I'm not sure if there is any evidence to this effect. Thanks!
  11. It seems like that is how many people actually met their criteria (GPA, MCAT etc.). It may also be that since they previously stated that a mark under 9 in one category may be acceptable perhaps a bunch of people applied thinking they had a shot; when in reality they decided to stop considering such cases.
  12. For 11 of my ABS entries I have the one high school teacher as a verifier. I have a few other verfiiers I used many times but these seem to be more self-explanatory (Ex. everything research related was my PI, All awards the same person from the awards department). I have also tried to contact a few other people and my emails have not been answered so I have been forced to use peers for these activities. For the most part trying to find anyone from my high school days is a nightmare. I guess what I am trying to ask is, do you think having the same verifier for seemingly unrelated things will be a problem? I have 4X the number of entries as I do verifiers.
  13. Thanks for the reply! I believe (and correct me if im wrong) that UofT doesn't only look at your GPA but your transcript as a whole. I guess I am worried that even though they will drop these courses that they will still wonder what happened at that time and this will impact my score for the academic portion of the application.
  14. Hello, All of my poorer grades will be dropped with UofT's weighting formula. In this case should I write an academic explanation seeing as Toronto may look at our academic record as a whole?
