  1. I actually e-mailed some of the schools a while ago about the consecutive thing and the only one that had an issue was McGill, who required that the two years they evaluate you on be consecutive, without a gap year. This was in 2013 so may be a bit out of date. For what it's worth, I did my best/last two years with a gap year between and I was admitted at Dal and Western. Ottawa also responded to let me know it wasn't an issue. But again, best to e-mail them directly. Newd
  2. No connection to the maritime here either, and was accepted. Just want to add my voice to the chorus generally encouraging people to apply broadly because you never know what might happen.
  3. I agree with the posters above, Queen's, Western, Dal, and Calgary are probably your best bets. That said, there's a few of us on the Rejected/Accepted thread who got in with pretty low GPAs this year. I wouldn't count on Mac but I also wouldn't not apply (if that makes sense). True story, I almost didn't apply.
  4. Bump again, recognizing that interview invites are still a ways away from coming out. Still for sale, though!
  5. Bump? Is this allowed/socially acceptable?
  6. I would add Secondary Prevention of Heart Disease with Dr. Sherry Grace. Amazing course and great prof who is an active researcher and very passionate about her work. Relatively easy A+, especially if you've taken Phys II.
  7. Ah, didn't see your post on the exact same thing. Thanks for the response!
  8. Thanks! So glad I'm not the only one. Yeah, that would make sense.
  9. Hello fellow 2019 MacMeds, Just wondering, has anyone received the registration and deposit instructions yet? It's been a few days and I'm wondering whether to follow up... NewD
  10. Accepted at Mac, hopefully someone gets off the waitlist before the weekend. Good luck, everyone!
  11. Hey guys, Thanks for the advice. I have since e-mailed the office and they were indeed very helpful and understanding. For those who came to Canada at a later age, some of the childhood vaccinations can be tricky to track down, as in, not at all possible. NewD
  12. So I'm likely going to accept my offer to Mac. One thing that's freaking me out a bit is that monster immunization sheet they are asking us to complete. Have you guys seen it? One of the vaccines (Tetanus Diphtheria Polio) is taken in three doses at months 0, 2, and 8 but the form is due to Mac on July 15th. Does anyone know if this will be an issue in terms of patient contact, etc.?
