  1. Hi , I was wondering if anyone knew if the geographic location in the sketch should be a postal code or a town/city name? I was thinking that they might be used in the NOSM context calculation. I can't seem to find anywhere, where it's specified though. Thanks for your help.
  2. Hi Tooty, Thanks so much for your advice and reply. I was wondering what your take on a BScN degree is? It would be two years, back-up plan, way more interesting that repeating an Arts degree....
  3. Thanks for your reply dnao2. I'm finding these forums highly motivating. Good luck to you this year.
  4. Thank you for this. I really needed to hear it. I'm supporting myself right now, and have just completed my MSc abroad. So the financial aspects are weighing. I didn't study sciences in my undergrad, so the FULL MCAT is intimidating. Do you have any advice for the second degree? Arts? Sciences? I'm not sure if I should try and get all of my science prereqs packaged into the degree. I feel like attempting org chem with my IDS background isn't the best way to get a 4.0 GPA. I'm so grateful for advice and open to suggestions for making my next plan.
  5. Thanks so much for your advice. I was thinking about moving to back to London. I really want to be a GP.... I'm not sure if this has any bearing on my ability to move back to Canada. Do you know how the logistics of moving back AFTER residency abroad?
  6. My undergrad GPA is definitely the weakest part of my application. Med school wasn't on my radar at all, and now I'm trying to reevaluate. I wrote the MCAT last year (for the purposes of applying to Mac) and scored a 10 on VR. Should I try and take a second undergrad/get science pre-reqs to boost my grades? Write the full MCAT? Look overseas? Any advice would be appreciated.
  7. Has anyone received an email saying they haven't gotten in?
  8. Hi There, I have an Honours BA from McGill and an MSc from UCL. I'm trying to find the best way of fulfilling the science requirements for med school, and hoping that these will be help with MCAT prep. I was wondering if anyone knew could make recommendations on the best non-degree courses to take. I've been considering U of T and University of Waterloo's distance learning. Has anyone does this? Have any experiences? Advice? What are the pros and cons of this approach versus a second undergrad? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. All the best, M

  10. Hi There, I'm a non-traditional student without a science background. I am planning on applying solely to McMaster for 2013. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a study schedule for the VR section only. All the best, M
