  3. It's actually not as unheard of as everyone's sarcasm in replying to me is making it seem....I know MANY people who petition bad grades off their transcript. I was just confused because I wasn't sure if it was a bad move in terms of physics being a prerequisite for many med schools. It was a full year course and its something that's affecting my GPA by .2 (which is a lot), which brings down my cumulative, and because I'm now a grad student and have to apply for grants, its also changing my chances of getting one of those grants since they base it on your last 2 yrs of study in many cases. But that's it, I get where the general direction of this thread is going....
  4. I don't know what I was thinking.... I couldn't take it in the summer though, I was doing research for 2 summers and then one summer of the MCAT....
  5. ok, I go to York so to put it into perspective, it changes my GPA from 7.8 to 8.6....which is like 3.6 to 3.8-ish...
  6. Hello, I was wondering if it would be wise to petition off a grade from my 4th year transcript, since it won't affect my graduation status. I took the 1st yr physics during my 4th yr and got a mark that doesn't match my straight A's/A+'s. Because I did so well in my other courses, my GPA wasn't really affected, but it could be *that* much better without this mark. However, I do know that some med schools require physics as a prereq....so which schools are these and do you guys advise that I petition it off?
