  1. I have not received mine either. However I believe the delay (at least in my case) is because I am still finishing up my 4th year in undergrad with our commencement being in May. So technically I havent graduated yet. I believe once the Faculty of G.Studies sees that we have officially gradded, then they would provide the ok. However, this is just my theory and I don't have any sources to confirm this!
  2. Hi All, I am trying to buy the Princeton Review MCAT Subject Review Complete Box Set from someone else, which apparently has "not been used" For reference: (http://www.amazon.com/Princeton-Review-MCAT-Subject-Complete/dp/0804126321/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1430177306&sr=1-1&keywords=princeton+review+mcat+2015) For those who have it, how did you gain access to the 3 full-length practice tests online that are apparently included with the set? Was there an access code included with the set or did you have to register the books? I am just trying to determine if I will have access to doing the practice tests even if I buy the set second hand. Thanks in advance!
  3. Thanks jackwee! Excited to meet you next year if you plan on keeping your spot!
  4. I was wondering if anyone else who got accepted to UBC PT had this in their email: "Congratulations and welcome to the Master of Physical Therapy Program at the University of British Columbia. I am pleased to advise that, subject to the approval of the Faculty of Graduate and Post-Doctoral Studies, you will be admitted to the MPT program beginning September 2015." Just seeing that in red is making me a bit nervous haha. Does anyone know what this means or if its normal? Will they send us another email when we are approved? Thanks
  5. Hi everyone, This past year had a renewed passion to apply for med. I am planning to graduate from my undergrad degree this May, and was then planning to take classes for next year as a "unclassified student" (so pretty much like a 5th year). I was wondering if anyone has done that in the past or are aware of any implications if I go down this road rather than postponing my graduation to next year eg. would these marks still count as undergrad courses, will they still be included in my GPA etc. Thanks in advance!

  7. Does anyone know what the grade conversions are like for UofA PT? I was looking for a table online similar to the one provided by ORPAS, but came up empty handed. Thanks!
  8. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew how to check the status of their documents (eg. transcripts, reference forms etc) for the UofA PT application? The website says you can check the status using BearTracks but I am havign trouble figuring it out on that site. Thanks in advance!
  9. Hi everybody, I hope you have been enjoying your holidays - I would really appreciate your advice/opinions. I am a 4th year undergrad student in BKIN (Health Sciences) graduating this May. I have always wanted to go into medicine but my poor pre requisite marks have been decreased my desire to take the MCAT and apply. I have about 2 years of research experience and good ECs and these are my marks over the past few years: 1st year: 3.69 2nd year: 3.13 3rd year: 3.91 4th year (in progress - only 1/2 terms completed): 3.98 Many of my other courses have been able to keep my GPA from totally being destroyed, but all of my pre req courses (bio, biochem, chem etc) have been B's and C's (and I failed organic chem in 2nd year (explaining my drop in 2nd year). With my extremely low pre req marks, I decided to apply for Physiotherapy schools (they are masters programs) across Canada for Fall '15, more so as a back up and thinking I should give up on my hopes of being a doctor. I am considering however, taking the MCAT this coming summer 2015 prior to starting the PT program (if I am accepted!). My main questions are: a) I am wondering whether taking a masters program will decrease/effect my chances if I decide to apply for med later on down the road? b. Would you recommend I retake all my prerequisite courses (7 courses in total) and if so, which schools do not combine both course scores? and where would you recommend I redo these courses? c) or should I just move on... Thanks so much for all your help and thoughts! I really really appreciate it!!

  11. I hope you all are doing well and have enjoyed the holidays. I recently submitted my ORPAS application and chose the 'online banking' payment option assuming it was a simple debit transaction. However, it is not the case and am having difficulty submitting the transaction. Any tips for doing this? Any help would be much appreciated P.S. Im using canada trust or RBC
  12. Anyone using the combination of UBC's courses of KIN 190 and 191 to satisfy 3 credits of anatomy and 3 credits of physiology? Im wondering how we would place this on the official prerequisite form that we have to submit. Do you put "190/191" in a single line ( thus in one line in each of the anat and physiology sections) and just average the two marks for the "final grade" section for each line? Thanks!
  13. Hi everybody, Im applying for the UBC MPT program and was having trouble filling out the initial part the referee confidential form. Specifically what I should fill for the blanks for the following questions: ... who is applying for admission to study for the degree of __________ ( I would put Masters of Physical Therapy) ...in the Graduate Program of ________ (Physical Therapy??) ...Field of Study: __________ (Department of Physical Therapy or Faculty of Medicine) I attached the actual form to see what it looks like (its the very first part at the top of the 1st page) Thanks in advance and I really appreciate it reference_letter.pdf
  14. For the academic references, do we ask them to submit the form that is provided (https://www.grad.ubc.ca/forms/reference-letter-report-applicant-admission-graduate-studies) AND a seperate letter? Or just one (does not matter which one)? Thanks!
  15. Hi guys, Im wondering after the process of submitting our referees on the ORPAS online application. I know most if not all of the Ontario PT schools are only looking for two referees/references but I have a dilemma. I currently have three referees: #1) academic #2) professional #3)practical (someone from a health care setting such as a physiotherapist, or someone who supervised your work with people who have special needs) I am applying for Queens MScPT, which requires one academic and one 'practical' reference ( so want to use reference #1and #3). But then im also applying for UofT PT, which requires one academic and one professional reference ( want to use #1 and #2). My question is can I submit/register all three of my referees on the ORPAS application, and then have the option to choose which two of the three act as my referees for each school? Or does ORPAS not give this option and I have to narrow them down to registering only two, and those two are sent to all of the schools? Hopefully this question makes sense and thanks to everyone in advance!
