Congratulations to those who got in

I'm feeling pretty down right now as I was sure I was competitive enough (3.81), with overall experience and application and being IP... really wondering what happened or if they calculated my right GPA...

I'm just speaking on behalf of individuals who have the passion to be an OT. Once you know what you want to be for a profession it's very hard to look else where when you know in your heart this is what you want and who you want to be

For me I have viewed lots of different professions to try and figure it out, so much, that my undergrad is actually completely away from OT. However, once I found out, studied, learned, researched and volunteered for OT, I knew this was it and my head wasn't going to turn anywhere else.    I feel this probably applies to others as well and their dedication and appreciation to be an OT or PT.

I do think it's very sad some people us this as their back up, as every single health profession is different and none are the same, so shouldn't all be put in the same category... and feel you should keep fighting for what profession you want and to not give up... but that's just me and my opinion. I understand there are lots of circumstances too

All the best everyone and keep your head up   it's not over yet!

Just got the email decision - I was placed on the waiting list at #4. Although I'm out of province and knew this would play a factor I thought I had a good chance of being accepted first try. Must say I'm upset but will keep my head up. Does anyone have any clue what's the likelihood of getting in with that number on waiting list?

I did but she sent out another one soon afterwards stating it was a mistake - check your email again. Email below. However, this means we should all be knowing very very soon the decisions! So exciting Good luck everyone!

    "Dear UBC MOT applicant,

You would have received an email from me just a few minutes ago at about 9:35am stating that you have been recommended for an offer for admission to our program. This email was sent out by mistake. I apologize for the confusion this may cause. For those of you who did interview, offer/decline emails will be sent out shortly.

Again, I sincerely apologize for this mistake. Please ignore the email from about 9:35am on Wednesday April 1st, 2015 with the subject line Test.

Thank you and please let me know if you require further clarification.

    Sonia"

From what I heard they have about 800 - 1000 OT applications - depending on the year and they interview around 80 to 100 people but not sure on exact number and this is just what I've heard and not sure if it's accurate either!
