So Scotia also gives the Amex Gold which would give another 150$ equivalent if you spend $1000 in the first 90 days. So the fees waived on the Passport Infinite and Amex Gold are about 240$ a year combined. The passport infinite also comes with free lounge access which has a value of about $260 per year. If you don't travel that doesnt mean much but we'll all have to travel quite a bit for electives+interviews later on and if you fly once a year or so you're still getting value. That adds up like you said. They also provided unlimited e-transfers when I asked. If I add it up that way Scotia would be +$1680 saved in credit card fees +$1000 (saved in bank account fees) + [not confirmed] $100 (rewards or scene points) + (alot of value with lunge access depeding on how often you travel)

I also emailed Cindy but she was initially offering the Scotia Gold Passport card instead of the Scotia Passport Visa Infinite

Yup, I agree, I think they probably still have similar numbers of people in each bin but instead of going from 4.0 -> 3.9 it might go down from 4.0 -> 3.8 in a bin for example which means that a low GPA is not necessarily a death sentence.

I think in previous years though, its gone through several (3-4ish) bins though. But I do agree its likely that the good waitlist typically ends with the last or second to last bin thats accepted and a high gpa is helpful. However, we also don't know that the bins are evenly filled with people and that could also complicate things.

Pretty sure different schools release at diff times. I think Queens tends to be early in the day? and Western takes their time, but the rest could be anywhere in between

Yup, currently working as research assistant, working as a sales associate in an outlet store and also working as a tutor. I think my gpa should get me a score of about 36 on the AQ so id need about 16-17 on the naq. The bottom ones as indicated are from highschool (6-10) Thanks for the advice!

Just wanted to get an idea of my chances for an interview. Currently in my first semester of second year, first year gpa was 92.1% and seems like it will maintain around there. Mainly worried about ECs for naq. Also am IP for BC and UBC is my primary goal. Will Have at least this by time of application: 1) 50 hours over 8 months volunteering in a hospital (library cart, visiting patients) 2) 25 Hours over a month volunteering in a neurology clinic 3) 140 hours over 4 months working part time in an outlet store 4) 70 hours over 5 months working as a research assistant in a hospital (mostly patient interaction involved with this as well) 5) 140 hours over 8 months volunteering at the aquarium (gallery educator, doing crafts and facepainting to teach kids about marine life) 6) 20 hours over a month period involved in orientations 7) 24 hours over about a month volunteering during reading week education projects for various middle schools From Highschool: 6) 35 Hours over 4 months working as a tutor 7) 60 hours for 2 years playing tennis 8) 110 hours over 10 months as a high school chemistry lab assitant 9) 30 hours over four months doing photography 10) 70 hours over 3 years in community service type club I might pick up one or two other activites but supposed i had submiited an app right now, where would I stand? Really appreciate your help as i im stressed right now with all this uncertainty, would be good to know where I am even if its on the negative side. Thanks!
