  1. Hey folks, a quick question. Did you check if all of your verifiers received the UofA email for verification? I asked one of my verifiers, and it seems he has not received it anything yet from UofA. Do all activity verifiers get checked? If so, then does it simply mean that this individual who has not received anything yet will be emailed a bit later? I ask this because all the other verifiers got emailed last week, except perhaps this person. So I'm not sure if I should talk to UofA about it and perhaps tell them to resend the email. (Btw, I am an in-province applicant, if that would help with anything) Thanks again.
  2. Hey guys, I really need some help/tips/advice. Ok so, I wrote the MCAT this September, and I did pretty bad. Now with the sciences, I think I can prepare that on my own, but I really need help with the CARS section. My situation: I got 125 in the CARS section. I will be writing the MCAT again in August of next year. I have 1 year essentially, (I am also doing university this year, full-time; but I will also have the 4 months of summer to essentially work on the MCAT). How should I practice/prepare for the CARS, to make it 128+? Should I be reading a lot? What should I read? Should I do practice passages every day? I am usually getting like 1-2 wrong per passage; I am not sure how to clear/cross the threshold to start getting 0-1 wrong per passage. Even if I have the best passage and I feel really good on it, I will always have at least 1 wrong. Did you guys have that? How did you guys fix it? Thanks again for your guidance,

    522 Mcat - Cp130/cars132/bb129/psy131 - Ama

Hello, Thanks for your guidance. I really need some tips/help. So I wrote my MCAT, and really got a bad score; lower than 125 on each. Right now, I have 1 year to try and improve my score - also have full time course load. However, my summer will be completely free to do mcat stuff. I got 125 on CARS. What should I do to get a score like yours in terms of the sciences - which books and stuff did you use and how was your schedule like? In terms of the CARS, I have essentially 1 year to improve it. How should I do this? Should I be reading stuff everyday? What should I read, how should I try to read it? How did you get that CARS score.... Thanks so much for the help.

  7. Hey guys, I wrote the MCAT this year, and I got a pretty pathetic score. I got 122/125/121/124 CARS was 125. I will have to re-write the MCAT - will most likely do it in August of next year; I have school right now full-course load. I really need some help with this. I have 1 year; including courses in the fall//winter. For the summer, I will be completely free and can just focus on the MCAT. What should I do to get from this low score to a solid 128+ on all sections. Please help me, I really want to do well; and my GPA and EC's are pretty decent/good; and I am just struggling on the MCAT. Can anyone give me some comprehensive things I can do. In terms of the CARS, what are the things that I can do to improve this. I have 1 year so I can do a lot of reading and even practices and etc... What should I focus on? Thank you so much for the help,
  8. Hey guys, wondering if I have any chance/shot at all with my scores. last 2 year GPA - also my best = 3.95; cumulative gpa = 3.83 MCAT = 122/125/121/124 ;;;; Ya, I know they are pretty low; will have to re-write if I get nothing at all. EC's pretty good I think; 1 publication on the way, good leadership, etc... Do you think that I at least have a chance for the MCAT cutoff? Will they just outright reject me with my low MCAT score, and not look at the rest of my application? Thanks
  9. Hey guys, Wondering if I have any chances for McMaster; GPA = 3.83 4th year MCAT CARS - verbal = 125 Is there any chance for me? Does anyone know anybody who got in with those scores? I think I can do fairly well in the CASPer section, do you think I would at least be able to get an interview if I do well on the CASPer? Thanks

    Yorku Psych

Hey Guys, I was wondering if any of you have any feedback for Alexandra Rutherford's class for history of psychology and her class for abnormal psychology. I want an A+, and was wondering about the workload and so on. Also if she uses testbanks for these courses. Thanks,
  11. Hey Guys, I had a question. Currently, I am taking 4 courses in fall term, and 6 courses in the winter term. Should I do this, this means that I will be having 30 credits in the whole year. However, I am not sure if I will be able to take 6 credits in winter. Thus, I was wondering if there were any medical schools in Canada that will look at 27 credits as "not full course load," and tell me that I will not be able to apply. I also know that there are some schools with formulas, like UofT. 1. Please tell me if I will not be able to apply to any schools with 27 credits. 2. Which schools have formula's for 30 credits, which I would miss out on if I only take the 27 credits. Please help me out so that I could make my decision as urgently as possible. Thank you,
  12. Hey Guys, I need some help with anyone who may know of this. I was wondering if any medical schools in Canada care about full course loads - 30 credits. I know that for a school like UofT, if you have always have a full course load for every year, they have a formula, but if you don't have a full course load for one year, they do not do the formula. What is it like for all of the other Canadian schools? Can I apply with 27 credits to other schools without problems? If I can apply, is there some sort of formula that I would be missing out on? Please help me, this is very urgent, Thank you.
  13. Hey guys, I am wondering which courses (psychology) to take for my 3rd year. I am looking for ez profs who use test banks. Can anyone please help me. Thanks,
